The Eureka database supports undergraduate participation in research and creative activity at The University of Texas at Austin.
Use keywords that describe research topics (e.g., bilingualism; "health disparities") to find professors who have worked on that topic, or who are actively recruiting undergraduate research assistants for an ongoing project.
Once you've found some faculty members whose interests align with yours or who have advertised specific ongoing projects, attend an Office of Undergraduate Research info session to learn how to approach them about becoming involved in their research.
Keep in mind that you might contact a faculty member about their overall research agenda, or about a specific ongoing project. Additional projects may be listed on the Workday Student Jobs Site.
Faculty members and students conduct innovative research in every academic discipline represented at UT Austin. Eureka was originally created by Connexus: Connections in Undergraduate Studies, in collaboration with the College of Natural Sciences, the Cockrell School of Engineering, the College of Liberal Arts, the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, and the Center for Teaching and Learning. For more information about Eureka or becoming involved in research, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Research.
