I co-run the Feminist Geography Collective. We work with students currently majoring in Geography, Urban Studies, and Sustainability studies who are conducting independent research (eg for a senior thesis). Our focus is supporting students who are typically under-represented in these fields. We meet bi-monthly to workshop thesis, dissertation and article chapters, host speakers, go on field trips across campus, or engage in research/ data analysis, grant writing, co-writing. We attend the annual American Association of Geography meetings to present our findings (including the undergrads!) And we encourage and support undergraduate academic publication and applications to graduate studies in Geography.
