Dr. Catlos applies and develops geochemical techniques to understand the geologic history and influences of mountain ranges. She conducts field research in western Turkey, the Himalayas (Nepal and India), South India, and the U.S. Catlos is interested in models for heat, mass, and fluid flow along large faults and new methods to study the dynamics of the Earth’s crust.
