My career has focused on the etiology and development of alcohol abuse and associated negative consequences among adolescents and young adults; individual, environmental, and social factors that influence the developmental trajectories of alcohol use and other behavioral risks (e.g., risky sex, aggression, drug use).

Since I retired as Professor Emeritus in 2021, I no longer accept new students for my laboratory.
