The O'Connell Wetland Landscape Ecology lab conducts research on broad-scale ecosystem resiliency and conservation through data science, remote sensing, field ecology, and ecological experiments. We typically focus on wetland-dominated landscapes and largely use open-source tools to conduct our science. Active research focuses on understanding spatiotemporal pattern and process in wetland plant productivity, phenology, and environmental gradients.
