Jose Izaguirre
Research Interests

Izaguirre studies the theoretical and historical relationships among rhetoric, race, (de)coloniality, and political power in the United States and abroad. Focusing on public Latinx/Chicanx rhetorics and social movements, his work both negotiates the intersections of race, violence, and political power, and interrogates pre-modern and non-Western rhetorical traditions and their contributions to histories of rhetorical theory.
