Research Interests

My research involves the use of medical imaging to better understand diabetes and cancer and the relationship between the two. I use MRI and optical imaging to assay various aspects of disease. My projects include both human imaging projects as well as preclinical imaging in model systems of cancer and diabetes. I have a burgeoning interest in applying deep learning techniques to medical imaging, including human MRI scans, to identify image features associated with disease.
