Dr. Crismon's research career involved the development and evaluation of strategies to improve the pharmacotherapy, pharmacoeconomics, and health outcomes of individuals with mental disorders, particularly severe and persistent mental disorders seen in adults and children. His current work is focused on improving the mental health care of children and adolescents. He is actively involved in teaching and coaching primary care clinicians to provide mental health care to children and adolescents through the REACH Institute's Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care where he serves as mental health vice chair of the steering committee. He has also been actively involved in addressing issues related to clinician well-being and burnout. He is actively writing, reviewing, and editing manuscripts and would be pleased to serve as a supervisor for undergraduate honors theses that are within his areas of expertise. He has served in this capacity for both Plan II and the Neuroscience Interdisciplinary Honors Program.
