Prof. Williams studies decision making dynamics in a wide variety of areas including jury damage awards, marriage markets, employment, and consumer contracts. Most recently, he has written about the prevalence of erroneous expectations about the protections that the law provides, and the difficulties of debiasing such overly optimistic beliefs.
