Rhetorical Theory and Criticism; Narrative Rhetorics; Asian American Rhetorics; Trans and Queer Studies; Feminist Theory; Disability Studies Hsu studies how populations marginalized by race, gender, sexuality, and/or disability use storytelling to disrupt and transform social scripts. The questions driving their work are: What can the field(s) of rhetoric do to foster connection and care across difference? And, what stories must we tell to dismantle and remake worlds conducive toward one another’s thriving?
