Research Interests

Currently I have been focusing more on intimate partner violence and Chinese immigrant women’s health. I'm designing and testing an empowerment-based intervention for Chinese immigrant survivors of IPV to reduce their risk of re-victimization and improve their psychological well-being. Another research area is understanding and addressing the effects of childhood trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder on women’s health and childbearing outcomes and their biological/neuroendocrine pathways. I am also interested in examining Chinese American/immigrants’ mental health issues and access to mental health services.
