The Church Lab is looking for bilingual Research Assistants in Spanish and English to assist with an ongoing neuroimaging study. This project involves middle school students who are enrolled in a reading intervention. This is a multisite collaboration between UT Austin and the University of Houston, and we are the Austin neuroimaging arm of the study.
- Fluency (reading, written, spoken) in Spanish and English
- Weekend availability
- Dependable, punctual, and detail oriented
- 10 hour per week commitment
- Comfortable working with children and families
Subject recruitment will begin in late summer/early fall 2021 (August/September). Data collection will extend through late Spring 2022. RAs who are interested in staying in the lab past this date may cross-train for other ongoing research projects in the lab.
- Subject recruitment and scheduling in Spanish (via phone and email)
- Conduct informed consent procedures with families in Spanish
- Preparation and administration of session running materials
- Neuroimaging session running with children
- Data entry procedures via Redcap
