Copenhagen: Sustainable Fiber for Fashion Item

This project is closed.

We are looking for a science faculty member and student to join our team to apply for the President's Global Award. Our idea is to work with the Copenhagen Design and Technology University to develop a sustainable fiber that can be turned into a fashion trimming. This fiber can either be upcycled from trash or created out of biodegradable material. The second part would be to create a sustainable business to market the product with a focus on circular product development.

We have a team consisting of students with a background in business, design and a computer technology focus so far. We are looking to complete the team with the someone who has a background in chemistry or possibly biology.

Must be a sophomore enrolled in UT and able to travel overseas next summer. Must feel comfortable working in a materials lab and testing possible fibers.
