Data Management and Cloud Computing (AWS)

We are seeking a talented and motivated student with a strong background in data science to provide support for cloud computing server management, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS). Join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience while working on exciting projects in the world of cloud computing!

Qualifications
  • Advanced undergraduate student, Master's, or PhD candidate in computer science or a related field with a strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly AWS.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Organized, responsive, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, tenacious, and proactive in troubleshooting when challenges arise.
  • Per UT Austin's campus employment regulations, students who are enrolled full-time for the Spring 2024 semester and hold another full-time position (20 hours/week) may not meet the eligibility criteria for this position.
Project Timeline
  • The project aims to start as soon as possible. The timeline and time commitment can be discussed with interested candidates, depending on the duration of tasks.
Duties
  • Assisting in the management of AWS.
  • Streamlining AWS S3 object handling and data input/output processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional team members to understand data requirements and develop API integrations.
Typical Time Commitment
10 hours per week

At least 1 semester, preferably 2
