Graphene/2D materials wafer-scale growth and nanotechnology

This project is closed.

This project is to research and develop the synthesis of advanced nanomaterials such as graphene and 2D materials on various substrates including sapphire and copper. A state-of-the-art equipment exists for this research. Subsequent effort will develop the nanotechnology to transfer the graphene onto other application platforms with commercial partners. The student will also learn characterization tools such as Raman spectroscopy. There is good chance for intellectual property to arise from this work for which the student can be a co-inventor. The position desires about 15 hrs/week commitment. Research group website is nano.mer.utexas.edu
