Latinx/Hispanic Freshmen Study

This project is ongoing.

In this survey project, we seek to understand the experiences of Latinx/Hispanic freshmen students as they transition to UT Austin. We will be recruiting Latinx/Hispanic freshmen students to participate in an online survey about culture, health, and well-being.

Qualifications

Students from any major who are interested in learning about the process of conducting social science research with Latinx populations research are welcome as RAs. Students must be organized, responsible, mature, detail oriented, team oriented, and able to demonstrate success in their UT coursework. Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is preferred.

Duties

RA task will differ each semester, but can include preparing for and participating in data collection, data entry, data cleaning, data checking, assisting with literature searches/reviews, assisting with administrative tasks as needed, contacting and recruiting participants, and participating in research group meetings.
