Plasma Torch

We have an inductively-coupled plasma torch at the Pickle Research Campus that we use to test high temperature materials for hypersonic vehicle thermal protection systems. We are looking for an undergrad to support research in the plasma torch by upgrading the data acquisition system and to design some new features to improve operation of the torch.  

Qualifications

Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW data acquisition software or a strong willingness to learn it. Experience with Solidworks for CAD.  

Duties

Update data acquisition program and design new functionality for the torch.
