The Psychological Benefits of Contemplating Tragic Entertainment

This project is ongoing.

This study applies the expressive writing paradigm from social and health psychology to study the indirect effects of exposure to and reflecting on popular tragic films on self-acceptance, depressed mood, and anxiety. Qualifications

Interest in media psychology research coupled with either fluent video editing skills and fluent use of Qualtrics software. Experience or ability to conduct literature search and some empirical scholarly writing is a plus.
