Safer Places

This project is ongoing.

Can we design and develop a neighborhood that makes residents feel safe? This project leverages street view images, soundscape data, and cutting-edge AI (Computer Vision and Generative AI) methods to measure human subjective place perceptions and examine their outcomes in crime to build safer places. The outcome will benefit domains such as urban planning, criminology, and sociology.
