Sensor network for energy efficiency on campus

This project is closed.

We are developing and deploying a sensor network to be deployed in buildings on the campus that will help us save lighting energy. The sensor network monitors lighting conditions as well as presence and adjusts the lights accordingly.
This project is part of the 2017-2018 green fee projects supporting sustainability on campus. Some pay as an undergraduate research assistant is available.

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated student to join our team. Interest and ability to work with electronics hardware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) are essential.

Project Timeline

The project starts in the summer 2017 and continuous throughout the fall and spring semester. The position will be open until it's filled.

Duties

- assembly of sensor nodes
- testing of the sensor network
- deployment and maintenance of sensor network
