How can we soften the blow of social rejection? Social rejection is often a painful, negative experience for the person on the receiving end of the rejection, but little is known about what social rejectors can do or say to minimize some of these negative consequences. We are seeking research assistants to help with a project exploring whether people can learn ways to make their social rejections hurt less. Research assistants will primarily assist with data collection by interacting with participants and independently running data collection sessions. No research experience necessary to apply.
