About the Opportunity: We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Spanish-English bilingual students to join our team as a Research Assistants. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Dr. Romero on various projects aimed at supporting Latine/x children and families. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in translating documents, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with data collection to contribute to our ongoing research efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Translate documents and materials from English to Spanish, and ensuring accuracy and clarity of content.
- Conduct literature reviews on topics related to Latine/x children and families, summarizing key findings and identifying relevant research articles.
- Assist with data collection through various methods, including surveys, interviews, and observations.
- Collaborate with team members to support the development and implementation of research projects.
- Maintain organized records of translated documents, literature reviews, and research data.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in reading and writing in both Spanish and English.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information in both languages.
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to research initiatives aimed at supporting Latine/x communities.
- Prior experience in research, translation, or related fields is preferred but not required.
