Stable isotope geochemistry of waters

This project is ongoing.

This work will involve the analysis of natural water samples for light stable isotope analysis (oxygen and hydrogen). It will involve use of a vacuum extraction system and analysis using a laser stable isotope spectrometer. The project will look at how lab preparation influences stable isotope values of water samples, sediment pore waters and plant materials. There will be opportunities to develop independent study projects and publish.
