Transferring Technologies from the Laboratory to the Commercial Marketplace

This project is ongoing.

Past involvement with undergraduates and recent graduates on privately funded research has evolved with ongoing opportunities in developing wearable technologies for homeland security.

Student activities continue to be conducted remotely during the Spring 2021 semester. Hardware upgrades to enable wireless data transmission and associated smartphone app development are expected to accelerate.

To be considered for openings in 2021, interested candidates should send their resumes and a declaration of available time per week to Dr. Roland Benke, UT Research Affiliate.

Qualifications

The previous preference for students residing in the Austin area has been relaxed • Required: Strong communication skills, willingness to work with others in a startup environment, and setting a quick development pace • Hourly pay rates are commensurate with experience.
