This ongoing treatment study examines the efficacy of CBD oil within the context of a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. Subjects (N = 150) meeting DSM-5 criteria for PTSD are randomized to one of the following three conditions: (a) 300 mg of CBD isolate; (b) 300 mg of CBD broad spectrum oil; or (c) placebo oil. All patients undergo a comprehensive battery of PTSD-related symptom measures on three separate occasions (pretreatment (Week 0), posttreatment (Week 9), and 1 month follow-up (Week 13). Additional information about the study is available on www.ClinicalTrials.gov.
