Youth Depression and Suicide Research Network

The objective of this study is to build the Texas Youth Depression and Suicide Research Network to support the development of a Network Participant Registry and characterization of systems and interventions to examine statewide population health outcomes.

In layman's terms: YDSRN is a pediatric psychiatry research network investigating depression outcomes in youth ages 8-20 years old in Texas.  

Clinical site: Dell Medical School and Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Qualifications

The ideal undergraduate researcher is dependable, communicative, professional, and interested in mental health. No prerequisites are necessary.

Duties

Volunteers will initially assist in subject recruitment efforts; after 6 months of volunteering, volunteers can be promoted to completing in-depth mental health assessments.

10 hours a week
Desired Length of Commitment
1-2 semesters (ideally 6 months or more)
