Our research is centered on the development of low cost, efficient, durable materials for clean energy technologies to address global energy and environmental challenges. Specifically, the research is focused on new materials for batteries and fuel cells. Dr. Manthiram's expertise is in the design, chemical synthesis, characterization, and structure-property-performance relationships of materials, including nanomaterials, for electrochemical energy conversion and storage. Our group is composed of highly motivated, self-driven graduate students, who can mentor and train motivated undergraduate students.
My group has worked with undergraduates, who have co-authored publications with me and my graduate students.
