Dr. Lewis’ last book was about contemporary surveillance practices in the US. His previous work was on alternative media, especially emerging forms of cinema in Native America and elsewhere. He also runs Endofaustin.com, a digital journal devoted to the changing cultural geography of Austin. He also makes documentary films, including one in 2020 on post apocalyptic play that was accepted into an international film festival in summer '21. His current research interests specifically include: surveillance and security practices in the US; creative nonfiction writing; and urban studies.
