Research Interests
The Mangieri lab studies the neurobiology of alcohol addiction in laboratory mouse models. We combine behavioral testing, in vivo alcohol administration, and ex vivo brain slice electrophysiology to examine how alcohol exposure and/or neuroimmune signaling pathways regulate cellular physiology and synaptic transmission in the brain.
