The Vokes lab investigates how transcriptional repressors, especially those underlying Hedgehog signaling, interface with chromatin to regulate gene expression. We study these responses during development, homeostasis and regeneration. Our experimental approach is centered on the mouse model system in a variety of contexts, including the developing limb, where we employ a combination of genetic and genomic approaches.
