Alzheimer's Disease - Slowing the Progression MEMORIES 2

This project is an NIH funded multi-site project that aims to test if adherence to CPAP therapy slows the progression of Mild Cognitive Impairment (a precursor to Alzheimer's Disease).

Qualifications

Fluent in English. Fluent in Spanish (preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication. Interest in neuro-cognition, memory, Alzheimer's disease, sleep, behavioral therapies, gerontology, health promotion Seeking experiences in the research process and willing to learn new skills Dependable and clear communicator

Project Timeline

This is a 5 year project that is finishing its 4th year. Expected end date 12/1/22.  This study is closed and no longer accepting students.

Duties

Duties will be dependent upon experience and needs of the project. Memories 2 research activities for volunteers: Screen participants via phone Conduct motivational interviewing via phone Assess adherence to the continuous positive airway pressure via phone/technology Enter and check data Assist with publications Other research-related duties as assigned

10 hours/week

at least 1 semester. Preferred 1 year (or more)
