Bold Research Insight: : Design a scalable platform to help young adults communicate their chronic disease by socially and emotionally connecting with a Virtual Being as a friend.

 

Our Action: Camp Cura’s prototype is an experience for young adults to discover how to communicate and manage their asthma independently with the help of their Virtual Friend.

 

The Why: To explore humanlike conversation using GPT-3 to socially and emotionally connect between the user and the character.

Project Timeline

August 2022 - April 2023

Duties

Revise and develop story narrative, character development, and all media assets to engage target audience demographic

Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes

Oversee art design and development for a cohesive look and feel

Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Co-PIs and engineers

Plan Focus Group / Usability testing with PIs

Develop and drive a detailed work back schedule to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met successful

Utilize Unity Set Dressing / World Builder to design and develop the overall look and feel of the Camp Cura environment.

Design and implement the user interface for the Camp Cura game and develop the art assets associated with it

3D character model and animate the “Virtual Friend”

World designer to ensure lighting, landscape and sound assets are ready

Play test the MVP when developers send it to us and tweak the timing of mini-games as needed.
