Participatory & responsible AI: Understanding societal implications of and designing human-centered AI

This project is ongoing.

Our lab's mission is to build more just and empowering workplaces and cities by creating technology that strengthens individual and collective human decision-making. We have several projects that investigate the societal implications of AI and design AI to be fairer, participatory, and a tool for social good. We are an interdisciplinary team; we draw theories and methods from human-computer interaction, computer science, social sciences, and design.
