I am an assistant professor in the UT Austin School of Information. I conduct human-computer interaction research that combines computer science, design, and social science theories and methods. I direct a Human-AI Interaction lab

In my research, I aim to build more just and empowering workplaces and cities by creating technology that strengthens individual and collective human decision-making. Our projects explore psychological understandings of AI and develop human-centered methods and systems for better AI-integrated workplaces, smart communities and cities, and online information.

We collaborate with the City of AustinECHO, and Dell Medical School. Our work is possible thanks to the National Science FoundationGood Systems, and Humanities Institute.
