Research Assistants needed for liver/brain imaging project

This project is closed.

The UT clinical neuroscience lab is looking for undergraduate research volunteers to assist in our Liver Brain study! The purpose of this project is to demonstrate how specific brain vulnerability, resulting from Metabolic Syndrome (MetS), is related to liver health, using multiorgan neuroimaging methods. This is a diet intervention study which may provide new information about how to support brain function in MetS and delay cognitive decline.

The primary duties of undergraduate research volunteers will include: set up of databases in REDCap, participant recruitment and scheduling, data management in REDCap, and participant follow-up. Research volunteers will be trained to administer cognitive assessments, gain neuroimaging and coding experience, and will have the opportunity to explore independent research projects. This is a great opportunity for those seeking undergraduate clinical experience for future graduate and professional programs.
