Comments about previous experiences working with students

Undergraduate research in our group is highly engaging, and you will be working with the PI and other graduate student on a great variety of topics. In general new members will start off by working with another graduate student, and then evolve into working on independent research if the student chooses to return for a second semester. Our group typically have 2-3 undergraduate research assistants at any time, and most students elect to stay with the group for at least 1 year. My own interest in research was planted when I joined a lab as a junior in college. It was a highly rewarding experience and started a passion of investigating the unknowns that continues to this day.
