Research Interests
My research is applied in motivation: How can we build sustainable communities by better integrating transportation and land use planning? How can we shape transportation revenue and funding practices to incentivize low carbon mobility? My reseach agenda examines transportation planning, policy, and finance, particularly at the regional scale, and makes transportation agencies a focus. I look critically at the structural choices underlying the organization, authority, and funding of transportation agencies and ask, 'How do these choices ultimately shape transportation outcomes?' and 'What structural choices could make transportation outcomes more sustainable?'
