Pedro Reyes
Research Interests
Professor Reyes is the Director of the UT-Austin Education Research Center which is a virtual research center dedicated to helping state policymakers evaluate or analyze education policies. As a social scientist, Dr. Reyes writes about how policy, leadership, and school reforms foster high academic success for children in poverty. He also writes about how state policy, leadership actions, and school systems produce or reproduce inequalities among children of color as they experience different levels of education. He also continues to research and evaluate school policy efforts in Texas to understand their effects on schools, teachers, and students.
